Blog #10: Greetings! Putting on the fingerboard in the workshop. I have a three step process that I feel makes for excellent action:
Step 1: Flatten the neck where the fingerboard will be glued.
Step 2: Glue fingerboard on without fret or binding and then flatten again.
Step 3: Put binding and frets in and flatten one more time.
This three step process ensures great action, no fret buzz, and no fingerboard extention dip. Playability and intonation play a very large part in having an excellent mandolin. Until next time,
