Blog #22: Finish Work
Greetings from the Workshop! It has been a while since I last blogged...this technical stuff doesn't come too easy for me?? I had written this days ago, yet am just getting to putting it up now..my apologies. I am coming to a close with finishing up the current mandolin commission I am working on. I have now begun to put on hardware and the last tweeking to be done. The bridge has been finished up. I am including some pics of the drilling, filing and buffing. I like to do things by hand because the contour of the tool defines the contour of the bridge. Much of the ebony I use is very old and stable. I am also making the nut out of a piece of abalone shell. I will add some pics of this as well.
FYI... You are now able to make comments about my blogs through the "Mandy Blog" on my website...would love to hear from you all that read these blogs.
Until next time,
drilling for adjusters
