Blog #27: Greetings from the Workshop! I wanted to write about a couple visitors I have had in the shop as of recently….
I had the privilege of having master craftsman Paul Sellers from Wales come and spend some time with me in shop. We were able to
talk about our lives and making a living from our craft of working with wood. I think we both have found a quality and simplicity in our lives
both working with our craft and sharing it with others that we hold in common. I have learned from him several aspects of working with
wood that have carried over into my instrument making. I counted it an honor to have spent time with him. www.PaulSellers.com

The other visitor I just had in shop was my friend and customer Justus Waldron. He has just purchased a 2004 A-Model Macica Mandolin. I love the simplicity of this mandolin that has a certain elegance to it. It is nice to be able to see an instrument that I made a while back and still feel good about the workmanship and quality of it. As always, we have a good time pickin!!
He recently posted his new mandy on “Mandolin Cafe” under “post a picture”…feel free to check it out.
