Blog #30: Spoons and Coasters
A happy December weekend to you all... I thought I would write a short blog to show some other wood projects that I have been working on in the shop. The first weekend in December our community holds the Flax Mill Gallery Holiday Shop. This year our family worked on some handmade wooden spoons made out of mahogany. My boys and I used a spokeshave, a #5 gouge and a file to make the spoons. It is a lot of fun working with my boys on this project. My wife and I also worked on a joint project...making coasters with mosaic and wooden inlay. I used curly maple for the inlay and I think they came out really nice. We enjoyed collaborating our two crafts together. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
..I'll write again soon....
