Blog #54: Cleaning Up Edges, Shaping

Good Morning!  I was hoping the weather would warm up soon, but I will say it hasn’t been too bad.. I’ve been getting a lot of odds and ends done around our land which has been nice.

In the shop, I have been cleaning up the edges and rounding them off.

I do a lot of scraping and using the file to bring everything to its finished state before varnishing. I plan to start the varnishing this week.

Shaping the neck can take a long time because you want it to be just right.

I will have some pics for you all to see of the violin in the white, just before I varnish.  I’m glad I can share the making of the violin with you all.

Take Care,

Martin
