This morning I noticed a new family of swallows. They made their nest right outside our kitchen window. Here is the father…
I have been working on putting on the saddle for the tailpiece to rest on, as well as shaping the fingerboard. I have been carving out the underneath of it so there is no excess weight.
I already shaped the top of the fingerboard when I had it tacked on in the white. It has a sustained radius of 45mm. I try to keep in mind the ease of position change for the player. I then glue it on using hot Hyde glue.
This glue is real excellent because it creates a vacuum as it cools and makes for a very tight joint.
That’s all for now…. Enjoy the weekend!
