Greetings.... Winter has settled in, and this is usually a time of year when I am able to get a lot of work done in the shop.
Right now, I am finishing up a D'Angelico style guitar that has been in the shop for quite some time now. The customer has given me quite a bit of freedom in how I would like to finish it out. Today, I have been putting in the position marker squares that are done in mother-of-pearl...
This is going to be a sweet guitar. It has been quite a pleasure to finish it out. I am also in process of making three A-model mandolins. I have been roughing out the plates using a gouge and these round bottom hand planes...
I continue to finish up the Martin style D18 guitar that I have been working on for the Joe Val Festival next month in Framingham, Mass.... http://www.bbu.org/events/joe-val-festival/ Hope to see many of you there!
Lastly, I wanted to mention and encourage you all to make a visit to our website http://www.macica.com/
where we recently added many new pictures and updates.
Until next time,
Martin
