Greetings from Macica Workshop….
We have just returned from our summer vacation to the C.T. shore….
We made some fun sand sculptures….
Caught some big fish to cook up for dinner…..
and enjoyed some good pickin and singing around the campfire!
We were also able to visit with some friends and family that were selling their handmade crafts at a local craft fair….
Beautiful handmade items…great booth set-up…nice to visit with you all..Look forward to our next visit!
Back in the Workshop….
Guitar Building...Working on a guitar commission for a local friend here in Schuylerville....
It is coming along nicely!
Looking forward to the guitar building class that begins at the end of the month at Maplewood Center for Common Craft (still room for one more student…)
Also…..Mandolin Building Class to begin possibly in October offered through Northeast Woodworkers Association http://www.woodworker.org/
A customer that I met at Grey Fox Festival this year recently came for a visit and we picked out his wood for the F4 style mandolin he has commissioned me to make for him. He has picked out a beautiful Adirondack Spruce top and the back is going to be made out of Apple wood with a wide, curled flame…Nice choice John!
Fresh Grass Bluegrass Festival at Mass MoCA in North Adams, Mass…is this weekend!
We look forward to visiting with you at our booth in the Luthier tent. Looking forward to this years event…
And Lastly, as summer comes to an end…..
We enjoy the bounty that the Lord has blessed us with… and look forward to this Fall season and the work we’ve been given to put our hands to….
Until next time,
Martin
