Description:
Cello, Violin or Viola Building Class
Let’s build a Cello, Violin or Viola!
This is a hands-on course for making a cello, violin or viola. You will complete one of these instruments from start to finish. This will not be a “kit made” instrument. The process of this class will be mostly done using hand tools. This course will not only give you a better understanding of what goes into making a stringed instrument, but you will leave this course with a beautiful hand-crafted cello, violin or viola that you have made. The course is taught by Martin Macica, Maker of Fine Stringed Instruments. Martin apprenticed in New York City with Mosa Havivi and has been a master of stringed instruments for 35 years now. Feel free to check out the creative process of instrument making on his website at www.macica.com.

*Make sure you have a work space at home because homework will be an important part of this class.
